An EOI — expression of interest — is a refundable amount that registers your interest before a launch opens; it is not a booking, and it commits you to nothing. If you go ahead, it adjusts against your booking amount; if you don't, it comes back. Terms differ launch to launch, so the desk puts each project's EOI terms in writing before you pay anything.
